Holding your Magnifying Glass

And Mary said, “My soul magnifies the Lord…”

Is this not God’s glory? A soul that holds a magnifying glass to the image of God – detailing, enlarging, revealing endless intricacies for all, who will notice, to see. Delivering into the world the Love of God. Even so, no one can see the entirety of what is being magnified. The multitude of souls scan the image, forever disclosing deeper truths and endless borders. No one soul can cover it all.

What freedom! I get to magnify my part and you yours. Together we bring the Image into view.

To…      lift up the lowly

fill the hungry with good things, in body and soul

            welcome the stranger

            speak peace into turmoil

            advocate for humanity

            heal

            teach

bring justice to the orphan –orphaned from love and mercy due to broken systems

be stewards of creation.

Each focus is part of the whole Image in which we live. Yet I live more fully focusing on and revealing the part I am given. What freedom to let go of worry over too much to do. To be responsible for my area of focus even as I learn from and appreciate what you magnify too.

…my spirit rejoices in God my Savior. Luke 1:46

In this together…
