How typically human of us to make this day one of comfort for our souls. If we even take the time to listen to the story of the day, we point fingers at Jesus’ accusers – “how could they?” – as we “humbly” receive forgiveness. We receive the words of a suffering, dying man for our comfort and relief without hearing what this man is suffering and dying to say. Regardless of what you think of Jesus, if you are familiar with the Easter message, I challenge us to pause today to consider what it took to get there. Was his concern about a relationship hereafter, or about our relationships here-now?

If you can spare 9 minutes, I invite you to come sit with me and (listen here).
