A simple invitation

Greetings in whatever time of day you find this! How are you?

The days have been full these past couple weeks. That’s really not unusual but I’m holding a little more stress inside me which wants to tether my ease and creativity. So in my mind and spirit I keep returning to this spot on the river. I had the great fortune to raft and camp a few weeks ago in these ancient canyons that bare the layers of time. Layers eroded and shaped by the winds and currents yet remaining strong and sure, reflected even in that which carves through it. For this particular photo I sat alone and simply soaked in the assurance of the rising sun and the mystery.

My invitation today is to sit a spell. With this photo or another moment of keen awareness that you hold in your memory. Notice what you see; what you smell and hear. What do you feel? Sit and breathe and allow yourself to be, just for a moment. Sit and breathe in communion with the air that sustains all creation. Allow it to fill you and nurture you and then return to nurture the world.
